Striking New Illustrations by Denis Freitas
Published Apr 18, 2025
We’ve had the pleasure of showcasing Denis Freitas’ work before, and it’s no surprise why his bold, energetic illustrations continue to grab our attention. His unique approach, which combines graffiti elements with fine art, creates a mesmerizing mix of strength and intricate details.
Denis draws inspiration from various sources including urban art, Latin American traditions and influential figures like José Guadalupe Posada and Carl Jung, whose philosophies seep into his art. He always kicks off his creative process with loose sketches on paper, gradually layering and refining them until the design starts to take shape. From there, he moves to digital tools to enhance the composition and sharpen its graphical structure. Denis enjoys involving his clients in this creative journey, sharing sketches along the way so they can watch the artwork come to life.
